It is Sri Durga Ashtami Today, a day to adore the lotus feet of Sri Maha-Gauri,

Eighth day of the scared Navratrey is known in the name of Sri Gauri Pujan,

It is a day to revere the lotus feet of Mother Gauri and conclude the fasting vow of Sri Navratrey,

Small girls are worshipped on this day in the form of nine manifestation of Devi Durga,

All respective oblations are made to perform puja and Prashad is distributed with submission,

Mother Gauri, consort of Lord Shiva-giver of good spouse-bestower of wisher and light of truth that matters to spirit in both the worlds,

I revere the lotus feet of Mother Gauri on the beautiful occasion of sri Gauri pujan of sacred Navratrey,
