Indeed a very special day of the month like that of Full moon, Amavasya, Sri Ganesh Chaturthi and Pradosh

It is favorable to highlight grience of the spirit in the lotus feet of Lord for the cause

Only rare fortunate ones with the grace of Lord find self in the orbit of Shiv Ratri to perform sacred prayer in the ltus feet of Lord,

I revere Bhagwaan shanker the progeny of Brahma, the very root of the tree of piety, the beloved, devotee of his followers who brings joy to full moon for the cause,

Lord that makes lotus to smile even midst of staged water, lord that disperse the clouds of ignorance to make sun shine again the life to rejuvenate the truth at its beauty,

Lord that dispels the thick darkness of sin and eradicates the threefold agony and wipes of obloquy, and to day is his day to worship exclusively being it is Shiv Ratri of Ashwin month,

It is a day to perform Abhishek, offering Jal to Shiv Lingam; offering Ganga Jal on Shiv Lingam really proves fruitful beyond measure.

Lord Shiva, the true spiritual master and Sat Guru and supreme Brahma,

Salutation to the Guru who is like wonderful moon which gives light with peace and cool, is very cause of bliss.

Lord Shiva is radiant with jewel of Vedanta, who is the sun that causes to blossom the Lotus of Vedanta.

There is no higher truth than Sat Guru, and Lord Shiva is supreme Sat Guru,

I revere the lotus feet of my Sat guru on the occasion of this divine day.

Today is shiv Ratri of Adhik Mass vaishak that falls once in three year and it is really very auspicious day to earn blessings from the lotus feet of lord.

Just as ice consist of water-earthen jar consist of earth, cloth consist of yarn -so all animate and inanimate is consist of supreme spirit and devotees recall that spirit in the name of lord Shiva. The true name of lord makes one easy to recognize self just by chanting with true pitch and designated pace and especially on this day so called shiv Ratri.

Neither one has to fetch lord from somewhere nor one required going especially for the sake-just keep the longing at heart and performing religious deeds with available easiest mode on specific days and blessings of lord manifest in the form suited to one most.

Shiv Ratri is taken as great day for the worship the lord Shiva to attain his blessings in life with all ease.

Basically shiv ratri is the day on which lord Shiva appears in the form of deity. It was the day 14th day of dark half of phagum month as per Hindi calendar and called as Maha Shiv Ratri. But this day of 14th of dark half is also celebrated with the same divine spirit for prayer of lord Shiva by his devotees is known as Shiv Ratri.

This special day of every lunar month have unique meaning for the devotees of lord Shiva as they make their submission under his kind honor to reach at the universal truth of life and self their in to pave the way for final beatitude.

Lord Shiva is so kind at heart and compassionate all the way to oblige those who really seek his blessings to reach at truth and the self.

Lord Shiva an ocean of compassion for life on the planets in the form of great faith for devotees. The glory of lord Shiva is finely elaborated in Sri Sri Shiv maha Purana [an ancient book on lord Shiva]. In fact it is an essence of all the four Vedas in a one compact issue.

Shiv maha Purana reflects on the tales of lord Shiva exercised by him while assume an form of human to bless his devotes in their direct mode.

As per Hindi mode of calendar which consist two fort nights one leads to first moon & next leads to full moon, every fortnight have days so called tithi, each tithi is governed by a specific god, here 8th & the 14th are the tithi which are fully influenced by lord Shiva.

14th if dark half called shiv ratri in other words, special for worship mode of lord Shiva.

Once in a year in the Hindi month of phagun it is taken as maha shivratri, Appearance day of lord Shiva.

This year it falls on date__6th march, wishing all a very happy shivratri.
