Today It Is Maha Shiv-Ratri

Salutation to Lord Shiva who has made it possible to realize him, by whom this entire universe of movable and immovable object is pervaded,

Salutation to Lord Shiva who with collyrium stick of knowledge has opened the eyes of one blinded by the disease of ignorance,

Salutation to Lord Shiva who has made it possible to realize him who as consciousness pervaded the three worlds with their immovable and movable objects,

Salutation to Lord Shiva whose form is radiant with jewel of Vedanta and who is the Sun that causes blossom the lotus of Vedanta,

Salutation to Lord Shiva who by nature is established in knowledge and power, who is adorned with the garland of knowledge and who grants both worldly prosperity and Liberation,
