Basoda

Jai sri Ganesha,
Eighth day of the first half of sacred Chaitra is celebrated as a day of Basoda Pujan,

This divine day is celebrated in divine spirit to mark the truth of goddess Shitala-Sri sri Shitala Mata,

Glory of Mother Divine is infinite so is the truth of her Glory,

Goddess Shitala is an incarnation of Goddess Durga that help the beings to rescue them from varying afflictions cause by misadventure of evil spirit,

Mother Divine indicate that cool to relief  soul from burning from the friction of life within self,

Indeed, Mother Divine is giver of peace as indicated by moon to departed soul for their short stay at in transit,

To worship Mother Divine, feast is prepared on the eve of Basoda, with define recipe.

And let it be there for full night to feed it with nectar that generated from Moon at its path on mid way to make suitable for oblation at the Sunrise in the lotus feet of Mother,

And the feast after offering to Mother, part is part off for other beings and rest is taken as Prashadam, that to mark the day in glory of Mother Shitala,
