Life is real may not be better than the man undergoes with life in sleep, Dream state may last for few hours either impregnated by ignorance of self or pitched on the hidden desire self keeps with,
Sleep breaks with, is a natural phenomena hence suffering never last for long but in case of wakeful sleep of ignorance, which has no set break to recover,
