Jai Sri Ganesha,
God is with attributes and without attribute, and may be both at a time is truth of time and ages, god assumes form to guide the life and help the devotees, he may manifest in the mind and the heat of beings or may influence them even without that,

God assume the form to facilitate the life in concentration concentrate or to help manas to optimize its pitch at its best for fair interaction with life

Indeed exact form of God is subject of soul alone, soul that free from mundane attachments,

Though Soul and God resembles to each other like that water with slight difference of taste odor turbidity and color which is subjects of maya not the soul or water, water by nature is pure same is that of fire, sacred fire ascends to God alone,
