Temptation

Temptation is common in the flux of Maya, whosoever it may be,

But being a man, one needs to be conscious and wakeful to react with,

One should also be careful to reaction,

If one fails to be regular unto truth, reaction sets in and senses becomes more turbulent,

Senses and the sense objects may be the cause to retain one for long in the ocean of mundane world,

The objects of senses fall away from the embodied soul when it ceases to feed on them,

But the taste for them, lingers, even the taste falls away when the supreme is seen,

Temptation to elevate self matters the man most, but temptation to accept the truth of sense objects may prove to be indifferent,

When a man withdraws his senses from their sense objects on every side, as a tortoise, then it is wisdom firmly set,
