There are two streams for man unto path of wisdom one is Karma Yoga and other is Gian yoga and  combination of the two turned to Bhakti yoga which makes one untie the knots of Maya to liberate self,

Yoga of action is have an edge over Gian yoga, but action without knowledge is same as sawing seed in barrel land,
